Products

AbleNet offers a comprehensive line of assistive technology products for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities classified as mild, moderate and severe/profound, including many products specifically developed for special education classrooms.

To support school districts in choosing the most cost-effective assortment of assistive technology products for their special education classrooms, AbleNet has extended its product offerings to include special education curricula for preschool, elementary, middle school and high school students.

Designed for pairing with classroom technologies that support differentiated learning, AbleNet's curricula have been implemented in some of the country's largest school districts, including Los Angeles, New York City and Philadelphia. These unique research-based curricular programs and corresponding technologies are part of a complete system known as the "AbleNet Student Achievement Program."

Curricula marketed under the AbleNet Student Achievement Program banner include:

  • Star Reporter  - A comprehensive curriculum for elementary and secondary students with moderate to severe disabilities.
  • MEville to WEville - An early literacy and communications curriculum developed and researched exclusively for special education classrooms.
  • Play & Learn - A motor-based preschool curriculum for children of all abilities.

Each program addresses accountability mandates for the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) act and measures student achievement with data collection systems. When combined with AbleNet's assistive technology products, the programs make it easy for administrators and educators to meet state and federal mandates, achieve Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) criteria and display measurable student progress.

AbleNet sells its products through a network of distributors in 49 countries across the globe.
