AbleNet Announces New Product Preview for London's Special Needs Fringe Exhibition January 9 - 11, 2008

St. Paul, MN October 16, 2007 -AbleNet Inc., a world leader in assistive technology products for persons with disabilities today announced its product preview for the 2008 Special Needs Fringe exhibition, including Lingo™, AbleNet's brand new personal communicator; the wireless Jelly Beamer™, now available with a switch latch and timer; wireless Jelly Beamers in two hot new colors; Flip™, a super-quiet and infinitely portable automatic pager turner; and a new line of computer access tools. AbleNet will also showcase FL4SH™ and SuperTalker™, two of its most popular personal communication devices.

As its name implies, the Special Needs Fringe exhibition focuses on products for persons with disabilities, and runs at the periphery of the much larger, and more mainstream BETT show, which is billed as "the world's largest educational technology event." While BETT features more than 500 exhibitors and draws as many as 25,000 teachers, the smaller, more intimate, Special Needs Fringe hosts less than 30 exhibitors, but includes the biggest names in special needs and assistive technologies, including United States-based AbleNet.

As promised, Fringe attendees will also get the very first look at Lingo, an eight-message communication and memory aid that is small and light enough to be worn comfortably on the waist, or around the neck and shoulder. Lingo features seven message locations with 25-seconds of recording time and one memo location with a full 60-seconds of recording time. Each message location can be recorded and erased independently making it easy to change individual messages on the fly. Lingo also boasts a digital engine for crystal clear voice output.

International audiences will also see the unveiling of AbleNet's new Wireless Jelly Beamer™ with Wireless Switch Latch and Timer (SLAT). This exciting new product combines the freedom of the Wireless Jelly Beamer switch with the flexibility of a new Jelly Beamer-specific SLAT with three modes of control, including timed seconds, timed minutes, and latch mode, for easy on/off activation of switch-adapted toys and appliances. And, because each Wireless Jelly Beamer is uniquely paired with its receiver, multiple people can use Wireless Jelly Beamers and SLATs at the same time, from as far away as 30-feet, without interfering with one another.

In the "just for fun" department for 2008, AbleNet has made the Wireless Jelly Beamer available in two hot new colors - Apple Green and Dreamsicle Orange! Of course, traditionalists will still find Wireless Jelly Beamers in the company's vibrant primary colors, including red, green, blue and yellow.

In keeping with the company's long-standing reputation as an advocate for literacy, AbleNet is proud to introduce Flip™, the innovative, and infinitely portable automatic page turner that allows users to move through the pages of magazines, paperbacks and hardcover books at the push of a button or switch.

Also, on the personal communication front at the Fringe, AbleNet will put the spotlight on FL4SH and SuperTalker. FL4SH is the company's sleek, contemporary, and affordable four-message voice output device that can be accessed by pressing directly on any message location, or used as a scanning communicator with AbleNet's exclusive "frame-lighting" for high-visibility feedback. SuperTalker is AbleNet's progressive voice output device with a total recording time of 16-minutes and the capacity to store up to 64 messages. Unlike any personal communication tool on the market, SuperTalker is designed to grow at a pace that is comfortable for its users by configuring it as one, two, four, or eight-message device using keyboard grids and level selectors.

And, last, but certainly not least, because the Special Needs Fringe focuses on computer access for persons with special needs, AbleNet will also introduce its new line of access tools, including Wireless Wave™ and Wave™, two versions of an oversized trackball device; Rock™, a mouse alternative that comes with three interchangeable joystick handles; and Cruise™, a new breed of mouse that requires no hand or wrist movement whatsoever.
